What an Affiliate Link Is
Many of the product links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and then buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission on that sale. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you had gone to the retailer directly. The commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.

How This Affects Our Recommendations
It does not affect them. Rankings on this site are computed from published product specifications and publicly available demand data, and every model in a category is scored against the same criteria. Commission rates are not one of those criteria, and a higher paying product does not get a better position because of it.
We do not accept payment from manufacturers or retailers in exchange for coverage, for a recommendation, or for a place on a list. If that ever changes, this page will say so clearly and the affected content will be labeled.

Prices, availability and product details shown on this site are drawn from published data and can change at any time. Anything you see here should be treated as a snapshot rather than a live quote. The price and the product information on the retailer’s own listing at the moment you check out are the ones that count, and they override anything stated here.
Why We Disclose This
United States Federal Trade Commission guidance, specifically the Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising at 16 CFR Part 255, requires that a material connection between a publisher and a seller be disclosed clearly. Earning a commission on a sale is such a connection. We would rather state it plainly on its own page than bury it in small print.
